Lindsay started practicing yoga during her college days in 2003 and became a 200 hour trained yoga teacher in 2007. She also has a B.S. in Clinical Psychology from Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo and a M.A. in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Sofia University in Palo Alto, California. Since her training at Avalon Art and Yoga Center in Palo Alto, she has taught well over 1000 classes, mostly specializing in Vinyasa and Dynamic Yin styles. In California, Lindsay primarily taught at Samyama Yoga Center, and joined the teacher training faculty there in 2014, leading topics about energy systems, Ayurveda, mantra and meditation. Lindsay has organized and led multiple yoga and wellness retreats to Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, and in the Bay Area. She also offered summer field trips to ‘float your yoga’, practicing on stand–up paddle boards at local parks.
New to Tulsa, Lindsay continues to expand her horizons through Zen Body’s Aerial Yoga Teacher Training as well as the Ankrum Institute’s Advanced Body Work certification program. She is excited to be part of the yoga teaching team at Zen Body Yoga + Wellness. Her classes are a playful balance of alignment-based flow, breath and self-exploration aimed at purifying the body and mind. As a yoga guide, Lindsay hopes her students learn to transform mental or physical discomfort into opportunities for greater learning and healing.
